Enjoy Puglia, Italy from just $1299

Unspoiled Puglia – The New Tuscany
6 nights and 7 days
from $1299 per person*

An Exceptional travel agent is one who is able to identify an unspoiled destination just when it is ready and able to welcome clients comfortably, but has not yet been invaded by crowds of visitors. First it was Tuscany, then Umbria, followed by the Amalfi Coast. Now Puglia’s time has come! I was fortunate to visit this beautiful area of Italy last spring and just blown away by its beauty and “authentic Italy” feel.

Puglia (sometimes called Apulia) is the region located in the heel of the Italian boot. This strip of land between 2 seas (the Adriatic on the east and the Ionian on the west) is famous for its thousands of century old olive trees surrounded by beautiful dry stone walls; picturesque whitewashed houses and Masserias; ancient cathedrals; medieval and baroque towns.

You can fly into the capital city of Bari where you will pick up your car rental. From the airport, it is an easy drive to the amazing new Luxury Resort and Spa Borgo Egnazia, located a few steps from the Adriatic coastline, near the San Domenico Golf. This is the perfect base from which to explore all the wonderful attractions the region has to offer.

  • The town of Alberobello  ( a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with its Trulli houses and their cone shaped rooftops.
  • The whitewashed villages of Ostuni and Locorotondo
  • The historical Baroque cities of Martina Franca and Lecce with their beautiful piazzas and cathedrals
  • Polignano a Mare with its sea caves
  • The medieval town of Trani and it’s spectacular cathedral
  • Matera (another UNESCO World Heritage Site) know for its extraordinary cave dwellings called Sassi

And while you are discovering this still authentic region and its friendly inhabitants, you will surely appreciate the outstanding local foods and wines:

The famed Burrata cheese ; The homemade pasta  (ear-shaped Orecchiette) often fresh and served with tomato sauce or broccoli rabe and garlic;“Fave e Cicoria”, a bean puree  that accompanies most meals…all this doused with the famous “Primitivo” wine of the region.

* Package Includes:

  • 6 nights on bed and breakfast basis at Luxury Resort and Spa Borgo Egnazia in a superior room
  • Car rental for one week: Compact, manual, with A/C, unlimited mileage and CDW; Alfa Romeo 147 or similar.
  • Welcome drink on arrival
  • Welcome dinner (drinks excluded)

(*)Price is per person based on double occupancy. Valid for travel between 09 January – 04 April 2012 and between 05 November – 23 December 2012
Call us for other dates.
For a truly authentic experience (and the same price), stay at the guesthouse Masseria Cimino on Half Board basis (breakfast and dinner) excluding drinks.

Exclusive and Unique Villas in Italy

Exclusive and Unique Villas in Italy
Italy is an incredible country of rich history, unrefined beauty, delicious food and wine and unrestricted adventure. The landscapes alone have the ability to take your breath away. Italy has been the backdrop for so many famous poets, artists and musicians, providing them all with such powerful inspiration.

The highly complex history of Italy has resulted in the great differences between north and south and from region to region. Remains of the Etruscan period are to be found in many regions including Tuscany and Lazio, while Ancient Greek ruins (and pockets of people who still speak a kind of Greek) are evident in Southern Italy.

Needless to say, the legacy of Ancient Rome is still eminently visible. Following the fall of Rome, Italy endured many centuries of internal warfare and unrest, yet somehow the Renaissance bloomed amidst the strife between Popes, Emperors and Kings, between families and city-states.

No wonder, then, that Italy is a land of castles and fortresses, walled hilltop towns, fortified farmhouses and tall towers. But it is also a country of fabulous art and architecture, stunning museums and art galleries, sublime churches and ancient places where the ghosts of so many shapers of world history walk.

Here are just a few examples of the exquisite villas we can arrange for you all over Italy (as well as many other countries) … call us for details
